'The weekender'- A two night circular cycle ride for those of you looking for a shorter break

At Vineyard et Vélo, we're committed to providing the best possible cycling experience for our customers. This particular tour is only here because a guest requested a 2 night shorter break, starting and finishing in Chinon, and this 2 night stay was therefore born- thanks Laura! We love this ride, these hotels and this tour- it's a truly great holiday for those of you with maybe not quite as much time, but still wanting to experience a 'proper' bike ride in a beautiful region. We call it 'the weekender', but actually it can be done at anytime during the week- maybe we still need to work on the name!

Meet in Chinon, collect your bikes and cycling gear, get introduced to who we are, where you're going, how you're getting there and what to look out for along the way. A ride of approx 40 kms towards the village of Fontevraud, staying in the village on a B&B basis. Today you will be following La Vienne river towards it's meeting point wit

Meet in Chinon, collect your bikes and cycling gear, get introduced to who we are, where you're going, how you're getting there and what to look out for along the way. A ride of approx 40 kms towards the village of Fontevraud, staying in the village on a B&B basis. Today you will be following La Vienne river towards it's meeting point with La Loire, passing through villages being listed amongst some of the most beautiful in France!

After breakfast you will ride east, following La Loire today. Your legs will now be warmed up after day 1, and todays cycle is about 52kms, BUT, it's very flat and very gentle riding, taking you past the ever stunning, Chateau d'Usse- the inspiration behind Sleeping Beauty's castle! You will be staying in another excellent hotel, and also

After breakfast you will ride east, following La Loire today. Your legs will now be warmed up after day 1, and todays cycle is about 52kms, BUT, it's very flat and very gentle riding, taking you past the ever stunning, Chateau d'Usse- the inspiration behind Sleeping Beauty's castle! You will be staying in another excellent hotel, and also going out for dinner tonight, so remember to pack something other than just cycling shorts.

After breakfast, you will set off to go and explore the truly beautiful chateau within the village. Your entrance is included within the price of this holiday. This is our favourite chateau within the whole of the region! Once finished exploring, you will ride back towards Chinon on a 35km ish cycle.Today you will also be provided details

Once finished exploring, you will ride back towards Chinon on a 35km ish cycle.Today you will also be provided details of a wine tasting for you within the Chinon AOC. Cheers to that!
