Nestled on the banks of the Vienne River, Chinon is a dream base for cycling adventures. With quiet lanes, rolling vineyards, and family-run wineries waiting to welcome you, every ride feels like a story unfolding. At Vineyard et Vélo, we live here, we ride these roads, and we know the winemakers personally — ensuring your experience is authentic, personal, and unforgettable.
In the past we have offered child-friendly tours, however the reality is that children get hot, they get tired, they don't like wine and they whinge- I know this as I have three boys and this is what I experience every time I drag them off to a vineyard or around town... This tour is therefore only suitable for those of you over 16 years old. We arrange your picnic, the wine tasting, your bike hire, your helmet, the route & even the puncture repair kit! All you need to bring is your passion for wine, cycling & exploring this beautiful part of France.
Self guided tours in the heart of the Touraine, covering the areas around Tours, and working all the way down La Loire to Saumur, staying enroute in some beautiful spots, having your luggage moved, your bikes supplied and everything taken care of- apart from the pedalling! We still maintain our love of wine within this tour too, and you will be provided details of a wine tasting stop on each leg of your tour!
