This wine barrel lid was fairly knackered to be honest, but following a really good sanding and varnishing, this lovely top, holding the original 'cork' and maker's stamp, has had a glass of wine added by my own fair hands. I've hung it in our house and everyone loves it! The rear of the barrel holds a secret too- the deep ruby staining from the cabernet franc wine it held! Perfect for a gite. For shipping, please ask. This piece is truly lovely and we're super proud of it. It was a nice oak barrel in the first place, but with sanding and varnishing the lines in the oak have come out beautifully.
